Albert Arenas returned to winning form in dominant style by taking victory in the second FIM Supersport World Championship race at Misano, while teammate Aldi Satya Mahendra completed a successful weekend for the AS BLU CRU Racing team with third place. After narrowly missing victory on the final lap in each of the previous three races, Arenas remained calm and made the most of improved conditions on Sunday. Leading from the first corner, the Spaniard controlled the race despite early pressure and built a gap of more than three seconds before eventually winning by 1.9 seconds over Tom Booth-Amos. The result marked his fourth victory of the season.

Mahendra continued his impressive progress with another strong performance. Starting from the front row, the Indonesian quickly joined the battle for the lead and initially held second place. After being passed by Booth-Amos, he stayed close to his rival and attempted to reclaim second on the final lap, but ultimately settled for third and secured another podium finish. Italian rider Filippo Farioli enjoyed a positive end to his home round with seventh place, while polesitter Can Öncü endured a difficult race. After initially fighting for the podium, the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing rider dropped to tenth at the finish.

It was a challenging race for the GMT94 Yamaha team, with Roberto Garcia finishing 12th and Lucas Mahias 17th. Yuki Okamoto crossed the line in 28th place. Arenas’ victory extended his championship lead to 56 points after seven rounds. Öncü remains fourth in the standings but is now 92 points behind the championship leader. Speaking after the race, Arenas said he was delighted to finally return to the top step of the podium after several near misses. He explained that the reduced headwind allowed him to make better use of the bike’s straight-line speed and praised the team for their efforts in difficult conditions. He also expressed his satisfaction at sharing the podium with teammate Mahendra and said that while the championship situation looks promising, his focus remains on maintaining his current level of performance and continuing to improve.
