Motorcycle Live is adding a fresh attraction for 2026, with the launch of the inaugural MCL Show and Shine giving riders the opportunity to put their pride and joy on display at one of the UK’s biggest motorcycle events. MCL26, in association with Bikesure, takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 21 to 29 November, with organisers introducing a host of new features for this year’s show. Among the most eagerly anticipated is the new MCL Show and Shine, run in conjunction with The Bike Lawyers, which will see ten motorcycles selected for a special display in Hall 4 throughout the event.

Interest in the competition has already been strong. Over recent weeks, owners were invited to submit their motorcycles for consideration, resulting in an impressive number of entries covering a broad range of bikes and styles. A judging panel, which included Bauer Group Editor of Motorcycling Richard Newland, has now whittled those entries down to a final shortlist.

The decision on which ten motorcycles make it to the NEC will now be handed over to the public, with voting opening on 7 September. The successful machines will then go on display for the full nine days of Motorcycle Live, where visitors will have another opportunity to vote for their favourite. At the end of the show, one motorcycle will be crowned the first-ever MCL Show and Shine winner and its owner presented with The Bike Lawyers Best In Show Trophy.

Phil Paxton from The Bike Lawyers said the new competition was an opportunity to celebrate the work and enthusiasm that goes into motorcycles owned by everyday riders.

“We are thrilled to partner with MCL26 for the launch of the MCL Show and Shine. The passion and dedication within the UK biking community are second to none, and this competition is the perfect platform to celebrate the incredible machines built and maintained by real riders. We can’t wait to see which bikes capture the public’s vote and take centre stage at the NEC.”

The addition of the Show and Shine should bring another welcome dimension to Motorcycle Live, putting enthusiast-owned machines alongside the latest new motorcycles, manufacturers and attractions at the NEC. Motorcycle Live 2026 takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 21 to 29 November.
