Royal Enfield’s new electric mobility brand Flying Flea is heading for Europe and the UK with the launch of its first production motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6. European deliveries of the lightweight electric bike are expected to begin by October 2026, with an initial retail presence in Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin and London. Pricing has been confirmed at €5,990 across Europe and £5,300 in the UK, as Royal Enfield begins a phased rollout of what represents an important new chapter for the long-established motorcycle manufacturer.
The Flying Flea name takes inspiration from Royal Enfield’s lightweight motorcycle of the 1940s, but the new C6 is a thoroughly modern interpretation designed primarily for urban riding. Its distinctive appearance centres around a lightweight forged-aluminium exoskeleton frame and an unusual forged aluminium Girder front fork, a contemporary take on the suspension arrangement used by the original Flying Flea. Buyers will initially have a choice of three colours – Flea Green, Storm Black and Parachute White – while the pillion arrangement can be removed and the footpeg position adjusted to suit the rider.
Power comes from a 15.4kW electric motor producing up to 60Nm of torque, fed by a 3.91kWh lithium-ion battery housed within a lightweight magnesium alloy casing. Flying Flea quotes a WMTC riding range of 104 kilometres and a top speed of 115km/h, figures that clearly position the C6 as an urban and short-distance motorcycle rather than a long-distance tourer. Regenerative braking helps recover energy during deceleration, while riders can select between Rapid, Standard and Trickle charging modes depending on their requirements.
Charging from 20 to 80 per cent takes just over an hour, with Flying Flea claiming approximately one kilometre of additional riding range for every minute connected to the charger. The C6 can also be charged from a conventional 16-amp wall outlet, making home charging relatively straightforward. Royal Enfield says considerable development work has already gone into the new platform, with early C6 customers in India covering more than 100,000 kilometres during the first three months following its initial introduction in Bengaluru.
Technology also plays a major role in the C6. Its circular TFT touchscreen runs Fleaware OS, Royal Enfield’s adaptation of Android Automotive OS, and works alongside the Flying Flea smartphone app. Over-the-air software updates, connected navigation, remote monitoring, voice assistance and cruise control are included, while a rotary controller allows riders to move between riding modes. Lean-angle ABS and traction control are also fitted, giving the lightweight electric motorcycle a surprisingly comprehensive electronics package.
“Our foray into electric mobility through the differentiated Flying Flea brand reflects our long-term intent to build a new category of electric mobility,” said B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield. He added that the European and UK rollout will take place gradually, with the company concentrating on establishing the necessary sales, service and charging support as the brand expands.
The Flying Flea C6 will be priced from €5,990 in Europe, with deliveries scheduled to commence by October 2026. The first European Flying Flea stores will operate in Paris, Barcelona, Rome and Berlin, alongside a UK location in London. Further expansion is expected as Royal Enfield builds its new electric motorcycle brand across the region.
