Royal Enfield is marking its 125th anniversary with a special edition of the Classic 650, featuring an exclusive colour-shifting finish and unique detailing inspired by the brand’s long history. The new 125th Anniversary Edition Hypershift Classic 650 is a limited-production model celebrating more than a century of Royal Enfield motorcycles. Just 125 examples will be allocated to each key global region, making it one of the more exclusive models in the manufacturer’s current line-up.
Based on the familiar Classic 650, the anniversary edition retains the model’s traditional teardrop fuel tank, distinctive nacelle headlamp and timeless styling. However, it is the special Hypershift paintwork that really sets this motorcycle apart. Drawing inspiration from Royal Enfield’s extensive colour palette over the decades, the finish incorporates a brass base as a nod to the company’s earliest motorcycles from 1901. Depending on the angle and available light, the paintwork shifts between shades of red, green and gold, giving the motorcycle a striking appearance.
Further anniversary touches include a gilded 125-year crest, exclusive side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes, reflecting the craftsmanship and attention to detail traditionally associated with the brand. Mechanically, the anniversary model retains Royal Enfield’s established 650cc parallel-twin engine, a unit that has become a cornerstone of the manufacturer’s modern range. Its relaxed performance and straightforward engineering remain central to the Classic 650’s appeal.
Production will be strictly limited, with just 25 examples confirmed for the UK market, priced at £8,100. Registration opens on 16th October and closes on 29th October 2026, with deliveries expected to begin in November. At the time of writing, Irish pricing and availability have not been confirmed. For collectors and Royal Enfield enthusiasts, the 125th Anniversary Edition offers an opportunity to own a distinctive piece of the manufacturer’s history, combining the familiar character of the Classic 650 with a finish that celebrates 125 years of motorcycling heritage.
