Touratech has expanded its suspension range with a series of upgrades developed specifically for CFMOTO’s growing adventure motorcycle line up. Covering the 450MT, 800MT and more off road focused 800MT X, the new components range from relatively straightforward spring upgrades to complete suspension packages aimed at riders looking for improved performance when carrying luggage, riding more aggressively or heading off road. CFMOTO has developed an increasingly strong presence in Europe, with the accessible 450MT joined by the road focused 800MT adventure tourer and the more rugged 800MT X.
For the CFMOTO 450MT, Touratech Suspension has developed a complete package combining its Extreme rear shock with an Open Cartridge Kit for the front fork. The shock provides adjustment for spring preload, rebound and compression damping, with the standard setup designed around a 100kg rider carrying a typical touring load. The Open Cartridge Kit replaces the original KYB fork internals without requiring further modification to the motorcycle and allows spring preload, rebound and compression damping to be adjusted from the top of the fork. An integrated hydraulic end stop is also designed to prevent the suspension bottoming out under particularly heavy impacts. For riders looking for additional off road capability, Touratech offers a version of the Extreme shock and Open Cartridge combination that increases suspension travel by 25mm.
Owners of the larger CFMOTO 800MT can opt for progressive replacement springs for the front fork and rear shock, providing a more affordable route to improving the standard suspension without moving to a complete replacement system. For the more off road orientated 800MT X, Touratech offers its Extreme rear shock with extensive adjustment for different riders, loads and terrain. A lowering version is also available, reducing seat height by 25mm while retaining the same core shock absorber technology.
The latest additions give CFMOTO adventure riders considerably more scope to tailor their motorcycles to their individual requirements, whether that means improving comfort when touring with luggage, accommodating different rider weights or increasing suspension capability for more demanding off road riding!
