Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona has been crowned the 2026 FIM Enduro2 World Champion following a dramatic season finale at the GP of Wales in Rhayader. Verona delivered when it mattered most on the final day, taking victory in Enduro2 to successfully defend his crown and secure a third consecutive title in the class. It capped a hugely successful weekend for KTM, with Josep Garcia, already confirmed as the EnduroGP and Enduro1 World Champion, completing a dominant season with another double victory aboard his KTM 250 EXC-F. The Spaniard has now reached an impressive milestone of 50 EnduroGP victories.
For Verona, the weekend began with plenty of drama. A crash in the opening test on Saturday cost the Italian valuable time, but he steadily fought his way back with a series of strong performances. A determined final lap saw him finish fifth overall in EnduroGP and third in Enduro2. That left Verona with just a single point advantage over Zach Pichon heading into Sunday, effectively setting up a winner-takes-all showdown for the Enduro2 crown.
With the championship on the line, Verona produced one of his strongest performances of the season. He built a 16-second advantage over Pichon across the opening two laps before going on to claim the Enduro2 victory and second overall in EnduroGP. The result secured his third consecutive Enduro2 World Championship and runner-up position in the overall EnduroGP standings. Verona is now a nine-time FIM Enduro World Champion, putting him alongside Garcia as the joint-third most successful rider in EnduroGP history.
“It hasn’t been an easy weekend,” said Verona. “After struggling a little on the first day and finishing third, I went into the final day with just one point separating us, so I knew I had to give everything.
“I’m really happy with how I managed the pressure. I pushed from the beginning and was able to get the win when it mattered most. This title means a lot to me.”
Garcia, meanwhile, rounded out an exceptional 2026 campaign in commanding fashion. After finishing a close second in Friday’s Super Test, he won six tests outright on Saturday on his way to EnduroGP victory by 34 seconds, while also taking the Enduro1 win. The Spaniard continued that form on Sunday, winning three of the opening four tests before controlling his advantage to secure a landmark 50th EnduroGP victory. The result also completed a perfect Enduro1 season for Garcia, who incredibly won all 14 days of racing in the class during 2026.
“This has been a really incredible season,” said Garcia. “My goal was still the same this weekend, to fight for the top step of the podium and try to win both the overall and Enduro1 class. I wanted to finish the season in the best way possible, and it was great to achieve that.”
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing ends the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship with the EnduroGP, Enduro1 and Enduro2 world titles, as well as first and second overall in the EnduroGP standings. The team will now turn its attention to the 100th edition of the FIM 6DAYS in Portugal, which takes place from October 8th to 17th.
