It was a weekend as an absolute protagonist on multiple fronts for Aprilia. In the third round of the Sportbike class at Most, Matteo Vannucci and the REVO-M2 team secured a historic first-place finish in Race 1, leading from the very first corner all the way to the chequered flag. This victory confirmed the excellent feeling the Italian rider has established on his Aprilia RS 660, which was already evident during Friday’s opening sessions. Together with a solid fourth place in Race 2, this result allows Vannucci to recover valuable points in the championship standings, where he is now just 5 points away from third place.

Matteo Vannucci has brought Aprilia back to the top step of the podium within the World Superbike paddock, 10 years after the brand’s last success, which was achieved by Leon Haslam in 2016 during Race 2 in Qatar on the Aprilia RSV4 RF. That same weekend, Aprilia also secured a double win, with Jordi Torres taking victory in Race 1 on the RSV4 RF.

Aprilia also delivered standout performances in MotoAmerica. At Barber Motorsports Park, Hank Vossberg completely dominated the third round of the Twins Cup—the American championship’s intermediate class—clinching a spectacular double victory across Race 1 and Race 2. Starting from pole position, the 15-year-old talent racing for team Robem Engineering took two solo wins, proving to be extremely fast and competitive on his Aprilia RS 660 right from Friday’s first session. Thanks to these results, Vossberg firmly holds onto the championship lead with 136 points, boasting a solid 45-point advantage over his closest challenger.

Adding to Vossberg’s results was an impressive performance by Logan Cunnison in Race 2. Starting from fourth on the grid, the Speed Demon Racing team rider crossed the line in third place on Sunday, putting another Aprilia on the podium. Overall, the Barber round reaffirmed Aprilia’s strength and competitiveness once again, with four RS 660 machines placing in the top 10 in Race 1 and five in Race 2.

Aprilia’s positive momentum continues in British Superbike as well. At Donington Park, Alfie Davidson was one of the standout performers in the second round of the Pirelli Sportbike class of the British Championship. Starting from pole position, the young INCompetition team rider secured victory in Race 1 and an impressive second place in Race 2, finishing just a hundredth of a second behind the winner. Harley McCabe (Fibre Tec Aprilia-By Mlav Racing) also put in a remarkable performance, claiming two third-place finishes on his RS 660, allowing Aprilia to achieve a double podium at Donington over the weekend. Thanks to these results, Davidson is now leading the championship with a 17-point advantage over McCabe.
