The popular Touratech side bags can now also be mounted on numerous BMW models with pannier racks from the original accessories range – thanks to a clever adapter. With its Endurance, Travel and EXTREME Edition soft luggage series, Touratech offers a representative line-up that covers a wide range of requirements, from relaxed rides through the city to tough adventure trips.
Until now, these side bags were only available for vehicles with Touratech stainless steel pannier racks. With the new adapter, the products can now also be used on racks from the BMW accessories range with a cut-out on the exhaust side. Made from 18 x 2 millimetre thick stainless steel tubing, the adapter blends in perfectly with the BMW rack thanks to its electro-polished surface. It can be securely fixed to the rack with just a few screws.
This means that owners of the original rack can also enjoy all the benefits of Touratech side bags. These start with the ingeniously simple attachment via a docking panel. The quick-release fastener locks into place when the bag is attached and can be unlocked again with a single movement. The sophisticated mechanism secures the side bag to the rack without any play and makes it rock-solid.
