Podium For Covington And Olsen

13 June, 2018

A weekend to remember for Suomy knights of the MX2 category, Thomas Covington and Thomas Olsen, able to get important results at the Saint Jean d'Angely track where the French MXGP 2018 round took place. After a difficult first half of the season, the number 64 Thomas Covington won race 1 and he finished on third place at the end of race 2.
Great result also for Thomas Kjer Olsen, who was able to be aggressive in the first few laps of both races, achieving a brilliant second place on race 1 and a consistant fourth position in race 2.
Out of the top ten Samuele Bernardini (11 – 23).
The MX2 World Championship standing saw Olsen on third place, Covington in eighth and Bernardini in sixteenth. Unlucky race weekend for our MXGP rider Kevin Strijbos (14 – 15) and Max Nagl (13 – 12) who were still able to take home important points for the overall standing, that sees them respectively in tenth and in sixteenth position.
The Next stop of the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship will take place in 1 week time on June the 17th in Ottobiano for the Fiat Professional MXGP of Lombardia (IT.
