Saturday 6th May saw hundreds of female riders take to the streets of Mullingar in Ireland to celebrate International Female Ride Out Day. The event in County Westmeath was part of International Female Ride Out day, which aims to promote female motorcyclists across the world. The event, which saw over 200 riders meet up in Mullingar, was supported by Ireland’s best and favourite motorcycle insurance broker*, Carole Nash. The insurance company provided funds to help organisers buy trophies for the group’s ‘Female Biker of the Year’ awards, as well as banners and raffle prizes that were won on the day.
Amanda O’Reilly at Carole Nash said: “We were delighted to be able to support International Female Ride Out Day in Ireland this year. It is a great initiative and we are keen to celebrate female riders all over the world.
“Carole Nash is keen to encourage as many people as possible to take up riding a motorcycle, and awareness days like this play a huge part in attracting new bikers, especially females.
“It’s amazing that nearly 200 riders from countries all over the world travelled to Mullingar to take part in the ride out, and everyone at Carole Nash was proud to be involved in such an amazing event.”
Dani Rose, one of the organisers of International Female Bikers Day 2017, added: “Everyone who attended the ride out at the weekend would like to thank Carole Nash for their continued support. It was a great day and to see so many bikers attend from all over the world was truly inspiring. The ride out was a huge success and our raffle helped to raise money for our selected women’s charities.”
