Channel Your Inner Racer With Dainese D-Air

13 April, 2018

The use of airbags is now compulsory in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3, but Italian safety specialist Dainese has been developing and using the technology for over 17 years. The D-Air kit used in suits worn by the likes of MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi is available for any track rider to buy. So if you’re hitting your local circuit for a trackday, you can channel your inner Rossi, while looking good with Dainese’s style as you get the laps in.

The Mugello R D-Air kangaroo leather suit is inspired by the technology used in professional racing suits, as well as utilising all racing data recorded by the intelligent D-Air system, to ensure a high level of safety and performance. The D-Air system protects the shoulders, lateral false ribs, neck and collarbone in instances of high side and rolling.

The Mugello R D-Air also features tri-axial elasticated inserts on the back and engineered elasticated inserts on the sleeves, legs and neck to maintain a high level of comfort on the bike. Available in two colours (White/Black/Fluo-Red and Black/Fluo-Red) and in UK sizes 34 – 50, the Mugello R D-Air comes with a Wave D1 Air back protector as standard.

To add to the top performance of this suit, the Full Metal 6 goatskin gloves provide improved comfort and outstanding protection. Primary features of these gloves include carbon fibre and titanium inserts with aramid fibre panels, for superlight strength, as well as quad elastication, for increased mobility between the knuckles and the back of the hand.

The Full Metal 6 gloves are available in sizes XS – XXXL and in four colours: Black, Black/Fluo-Red, Black/Fluo-Yellow and Black/White/Lava-Red. Or to really feel like Rossi the Full Metal 6 Replica gloves are also available with VR46 2017 colours.

To complete the look, the R Axial Pro In boot offers the highest levels of safety, comfort and functionality, in a lightweight and aerodynamic design. The D-Axial system in carbon and aramid fibres, in addition to the shock absorption heel, helps to reduce the risk of twisting the ankle.
